The Divine Tonus of Motherhood

I begin these lines by asking the Holy Mary, the Exalted Mother of Jesus—the Ecumenical Christ, the Divine Statesman—to bring the sublime comfort of her maternal spirit to human hearts. It is the universal shelter that makes the high concept of family shine, which is what should govern us. And may She protect the people of the Earth, leading them towards Peace.

Whether on Mother’s Day, on Women’s Day, or on any other day of the year, I want to greet women and pay my homage to them, because they are the ones who build the nation. Some of them, who do me the honor of reading these words, may argue: But I’m not a mother. You are not?! Every woman has within her the divine tonus of motherhood. How many do not have children and yet their Souls are filled with the love of dedicating themselves to help their fellow beings or even a cause like the Legion of Good Will? What is the LGW if not a great mother?

Mothers, families, and nations

No stable organization sustains itself and grows without stable, determined women, because they have learned to sublimate their most intimate sufferings, transforming them into meaningful achievements for the benefit of humanity, following the example of the Holy Mary.

Those who want to devalue the sense of family do not know what they are doing. The primitive clan was the first family nucleus. From it communities were formed and society emerged. How do we expect nations to be strong if we do not respect families?
