Citizenship of the Spirit — Jesus’ Prophetic View through John

Source: A Reflection of Goodwill taken from the book “Jesus e a Cidadania do Espírito” [Jesus and the Citizenship of the Spirit], October 2019.

As I wrote in my book Jesus, o Profeta Divino [Jesus, the Divine Prophet] (2011), the Wise Man of the Millennium offers everyone immediate path to a new phase, when experiencing legitimate Peace will be the natural state for the Citizens of the Spirit:

What is darkness if not obscurantism? It is indeed the worst kind of ignorance, from which one can only expect violence and all kinds of pain. It is basically the result of the lack of fundamental knowledge that comes from the enlightened Spirit, since citizenship actually starts in the Invisible World. But when will world leaders understand this? The government of the Earth starts in Heaven—someday human beings will learn this maxim for their own benefit. Being unaware of the infinite Truth is to suffer the consequences of ungoverned thinking.*

Please note Christ’s splendid prophetic vision as in His Apocalypse 1:4-6:

Greeting to the Seven Churches

“4 John, to the Seven Churches in the Province of Asia: Grace and peace to you from Him who is, who was, and who is to come, and from the Seven Spirits before His throne,
“5
and from Jesus Christ, who is the Faithful Witness, the Firstborn from the dead, and the Ruler of the kings of the Earth. To Him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by His blood,
“6 and has made us to be a kingdom and priests to serve His God and Father—to Him be glory and power for ever and ever. Amen!”

Tela: Sátyro Marques (1935-2019)

As found in verse 5, He sacrificed Himself out of deep Love for us. And through His blood, that is, through the extraordinary examples of perseverance in God, the Lord of Peace bequeathed us transformative teachings that have freed us from our sins and which are nothing else but the unawareness of the Divine Laws. He brought down to Earth the purifying mantle of Elevated, Cosmic Lessons, the origin of the Citizenship of the Spirit. To all those who try to mitigate their thirst in the Inexhaustible Fountain made available to all by the Sublime Provider, He grants the right of access to Spiritual Citizenship.

However, only as we free ourselves from the ignorance of the Eternal Norms, can we be made a kingdom (therefore, Spiritual Authority) and priests (that means, religious virtue) for “His God and Father.” But not for momentary power, ephemeral religiosity, or a citizenship that will be belittled as centuries pass by.

John

John and the Spirits of God also exclaim in verse 6: “To Him be glory and power for ever and ever. Amen!”

Then we reach verse 7 of chapter 1 in the Apocalypse of Christ. It is extraordinary! It is comforting to our Souls, since it announces the Triumphal Return of our true, invaluable Friend Jesus: “Behold, Jesus is returning with the clouds, and every eye will see Him, even those who pierced Him; and all the peoples of the Earth will mourn over Him. So it is to be! Amen.” (The Apocalypse 1:7)

Let us thank God! This is the definitive consolidation of the Solidary, Altruistic, and Ecumenical Society, the full Spiritual Citizenship.

In light of all this, we, Citizens of the Spirit, aware of the role we must play in the Universes, proclaim: Please return, Lord Jesus!
