Divine Medicine in Troubled Times

“A cheerful heart is good medicine.”
(Proverbs 17:22)

Charity, which is God’s creation, is the feeling that keeps us alive in the troubled hours of our existence. It invites us to look up high and beyond, so we can spot the Light descending from Heavenly Realms to help us, exhorting: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Book of Joshua 1:9)

In every phase in our lives, especially in times of pain, instead of complaining, let us not forget Charity and put it into practice with devotion and joy. It is the Divine Medicine for the Soul that, by way of effective actions that benefit our fellow beings, can free us from the fetters of suffering.
