The 469th anniversary of the city of São Paulo, Day of the Little Soldiers of God, of the LGW, and 37 years of the Jesus Super Nursery School
1. On this happy day, January 25th, 2023, when the city of São Paulo is celebrating its 469 years since it was founded, we also celebrate the Day of the Little Soldiers of God, of the LGW, as the children are affectionately called at the Organization. They are the “Hope of the world,” as our late Brother Alziro Zarur (1914-1979), founder of the Legion of Good Will, once declared.
2. It is with enormous pleasure that I salute the 37th anniversary of the LGW’s Jesus Super Nursery School, which I had the honor of opening in 1986—also on January 25th—with the help of the people. It is part of the beautiful and beloved Good Will Educational Complex, in the capital city of São Paulo.
A Sanctuary of Love and Poetry
3. I have already told you on several occasions that when I had the intuition and felt the need to build this place dedicated to educating the little ones, I decided to tell the world. First, I discussed the idea with the Legionnaires, and they all enthusiastically agreed to it. We started a major campaign to purchase the land and build the school. Jesus, the Heavenly Educator, and Saint Francis of Assisi, the Patron of the LGW, responded to our appeal by way of people of Goodwill. We built a true Temple of Education with the indispensable Ecumenical Spirituality on the corner of Sérgio Tomás Street and Rudge Avenue, where children are carefully supported. There is no better altar to worship God than the hearts of our fellow beings. That is why I have requested this statement to be placed at the entrance to the school: “Jesus Super Nursery School — A Sanctuary of Love and Poetry. Here human beings are valued.”
4. I fraternal greetings to the whole team that, for decades, has been working for the success of this sacred place of Love, Joy, Wisdom, and Peace. This is where the development of Planetary Citizens begins, starting from the simple cradle, an education that is enlightened by the Pedagogy of Affection and by the Ecumenical Citizen Pedagogy, which aim for the total development of the individuals, that is, their Spirit, brain, and heart. We generously present these educational proposals to the world, inspired by the Pedagogy of God, as announced by Zarur, under the seal of the Bible verse in the epigraph, as forecast by the Prophet Isaiah and stressed by our Master Jesus in His Holy Gospel according to John 6:45:
“It is written in the Prophets: ‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who has heard the Father and learned from Him comes to me.”

5. I registered in my book É urgente reeducar! [It Is Urgent to Re-educate!] (2010) that human beings are a granary of constant achievements. This is the true fortune of a civilization. People cannot be cruelly exploited and subjected to servitude and contempt. Conditions must be created for them, however minimal they might be, to live with dignity for however long they live.
6. My esteemed Sisters and dear Brothers, that is why all of you are there, educating children, young people, and adults with the beacon of Education with Ecumenical Spirituality, the one that can make an entire nation strong.
7. In we concluded, with a lot of effort, an extensive renovation of the Jesus Super Nursery School, providing modern and even more welcoming facilities for all those we assist and for the dedicated workers who are part of this Teaching Sanctuary, from the simplest component to its teachers and administrators.
8. The Jesus Super Nursery School, its teaching staff, and the essential supporters of this Organization are instruments of God, the Heavenly Father of humanity. We have proclaimed that world stability begins in the hearts of children. To protect them is to believe in the future.

9. Therefore, may your achievements be abundant, according to this encouragement from the Divine Pedagogue:
“In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your Good Deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven.”
(The Gospel of Jesus according to Matthew 5:16)

20th International Forum of the LGW’s Little Soldiers of God
11. By the way, I here take this opportunity to announce the theme of the 20th International Forum of the LGW’s Little Soldiers of God, whose Patron is Jesus. Because we believe in the protagonism of children, we created this space for fraternal dialogue so that new generations can express, in a balanced, clear, and practical way, their Peace proposals for a better society. It is the little ones themselves who, in the fundamental exercise of their freedom of thought, choose the topics that will be addressed throughout the year of activities. This is going to be their contribution in 2023: “Take care of Life, take care of the Earth, and take care of us: we are all Nature!” with its slogan that I have been warning you about for decades: The destruction of Nature is the extinction of the human race. With the blessings of Christ, I leave you now my best wishes for the success of yet another edition of the event!
