End of Times and Those Who Persevere in Jesus

Serious events are coming, but let us keep doing our part for the survival of the planet

Dr. Bezerra de Menezes

In issue 126 of JESUS IS ARRIVING! (Portuguese edition), I requested that a note be published in the “We Have Returned!” section, which read: “Dr. Bezerra, 2017, 2018, and 2019 — What does the wise Spirit Dr. Bezerra de Menezes (Spirit) have to say to us about these three significant and serious years? He and Spiritual Brother Flexa Dourada have made important revelations about the relevance of this triennium for Brazil and the world.” Soon after, on September 24, 2016, in Rio de Janeiro/RJ, Brazil, through the mediumship of the New Commandment Christian Chico Periotto, Brother Flexa Dourada shared Dr. Bezerra’s response, along with additional comments about the gravity of the current times. Before transcribing the spiritual message, I would like to recall a clarifying passage from the Gospel of Jesus according to Mark 13:24–27 and 32–37:

“The Coming of the Son of God
“24  But in those days, after that great tribulation, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light,
“25 and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers in the heavens will be shaken.
“26 Then everyone will see the Son of God coming in the clouds with great power and glory.
“27 And He will send His Angels to gather His chosen ones from the four winds, from the ends of the earth to the ends of the heavens. . . .
“32 But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the Angels in Heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
“33 Be on guard! Watch and pray, for you do not know when that time will come.
“34 It is like a man going on a journey. When he leaves his house, he puts his servants in charge, assigning to each their task, and tells the doorkeeper to keep watch.
“35 Therefore, keep watch, because you do not know when the Lord will return—whether in the evening, at midnight, at dawn, or in the morning.
“36 If He comes suddenly, do not let Him find you sleeping.
“37 What I say to you, I say to everyone: Watch!

I made a point of highlighting verse 32: “But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the Angels in Heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.”

These words of Jesus are meant to alert us not to get fixated on human calendar dates when trying to determine the timing of divine prophecies. As I have often emphasized in my sermons on "The Apocalypse of Jesus for the Simple-Hearted,"*1 God’s Time does not follow the same measurements as earthly time. However, this does not mean we should ignore the signs of the events foretold in the Holy Scriptures. Our role is to remain vigilant and prayerful, fulfilling the duty that each of us has in the world.

Now, let us reflect on the message from the World of Truth, delivered by our beloved Brother Flexa Dourada. Though extensive, it deserves the careful attention of those who do not wish to be caught off guard or overwhelmed by the unfolding events on Earth:

Spirit Brother Flexa Dourada
(Rio de Janeiro/RJ, Brazil — September 24, 2016.)

Unprecedented Difficulties in the World

“1) Hail, Jesus!

“2) Dr. Bezerra responds to Brother Paiva: Everyone should read chapter 24 of the Gospel according to Matthew—the entire chapter, verses 1 through 51—and the Apocalypse of Jesus, chapter 6. These two Bible passages are deeply connected.

“3) These chapters from both the Gospel and the Apocalypse directly address what Brother Paiva asked about the three coming years.

“4) We are experiencing difficulties never before seen by humankind, and we must prepare by first strengthening our hearts, our feelings, our Souls.

“5) Jesus urges us to stay vigilant for Peace and to be aware of the end-time events and everything we need to know.

“6) What is the Higher Spiritual World striving for, above all, right now? To prevent, in every way possible, this cascade of events that could unfold at any moment.

“7) Humanity is lost, drifting in an open sea, unsure of where to go. Instead of boarding Christ’s boat—where Spiritual Laws can help everyone—people choose to swim on their own, exhausting themselves, going nowhere. And what happens then? They drown.

“8) [God’s] Spirits are working to help avert and redirect this course.

“9) Yet humankind seems bent on calamity, starting with emotional collapse and acts of cruelty.

Keep Working for Jesus and His Triumphal Return

“10) We must keep working for Jesus, pressing the accelerator when it comes to doing Good.

“11) So, Brother Paiva, what we must do—both in the Spiritual World and on Earth—is continue laboring for Jesus, spreading every word about Him and His Return [as the Religion of God, of the Christ, and of the Holy Spirit has always done]. “But when is He coming back?” That is for Him to know. He determines. He sends the signs.

Vivian R. Ferreira

The Danger of the Bottleneck

“12) Humanity is approaching a bottleneck, and that is the danger, because today the consequences are unpredictable. [God’s] Spirits are still working to prevent this, to lessen the impact, because much suffering lies ahead. This is the core issue. A world in turmoil leads to unimaginable consequences.

“13) We must all be thinking, praying, working for Jesus’ Causes to be worthy of His protection, of Christ’s very Aura, for those aligned with this divine vibration will be spared—both on Earth and in the Spiritual World.

Jesus Has Brought Great Souls to the Cause of Good Will

“14) We all bear great responsibilities. It is no coincidence that so many individuals from past civilizations have returned to reinforce the front lines of those persevering in the Good Will Organizations. . . . They are here. Jesus brought them back to help spread and proclaim all that must be said and preached.

“15) Brother Paiva, who carries millennia of experience in his Soul, understands this well. That is why he hands the microphone to these reincarnated Spirits—encouraging them to preach, to write, to do this for Christ!

“16) May everyone be integrated into the spirit of the Fourth Revelation [that of God, of the Christ, and of the Holy Spirit]!

“17) Souls must be transformed. The great purpose of the Fourth Revelation is to transform Souls for the better. . . . The improvement of Souls is what is expected from all.

Always Follow the Spiritual Agenda

“18) This is what we call free will. Every person, upon returning to Earth, can act as their heart and Spirit dictate. That is why Dr. Bezerra always reminds us of the Spiritual Agenda.

“19) We must ask ourselves: ‘I want to do this, but what does my Spiritual Agenda say? If it is not in there, why do I keep insisting?

“20) Humanity is still far from thinking this way. That is why it attracts war, disaster, and chaos.

Better Times Will Come for Humanity

“21) But the work continues, and the Fourth Revelation must go on until Christ’s Return and beyond His Return, as Brother Paiva preaches. Better days will also come to humankind.

“22) I repeat: Better days will come too. Let us not focus solely on the worst. Purification exists so that something better may emerge. That is the work of the Spiritual World. If we must go through these trials, let us endure them with hope in what lies ahead. That is how our Spirits will always remain steadfast in the pursuit of the Christ’s Beatitudes.*2

“23) The one who perseveres will sit upon His throne . . . [‘To the one who is victorious, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat down with my Father on His throne of glory’ (Apocalypse 3:21).]

“24) They will be honored by Christ Himself because they persevered, because they worked for Jesus, for the causes of humanity.

“25) So we must care for humanity. At the very least, offer it a path that is undeniable, a path that can lead to victory. Humanity will not be extinguished. It will endure—even through pain and catastrophe. Jesus will not destroy humanity. That is not the purpose. The purification of Souls, of Spirits happens through the actions of human and spiritual beings—those incarnated and disincarnated.

Preparing Future Generations

“26) Jesus will continue everything. That is why future generations must always be prepared. Brother Paiva cares for, nurtures, nurtures, nurtures hearts like one watering a plant that needs to grow. Though it may still seem fragile to human eyes, it will grow tall and strong, becoming a sturdy tree, bearing wonderful fruit—until it becomes an orchard that nourishes other hearts, other trees, other feelings, and so on . . .

“27) ‘The Sun shines upon the Organizations of God’s Good Will,’ says Dr. Bezerra de Menezes.

“28) The Sun of Charity. This is how the LGW has spoken since its early days—and it is a great truth. [‘Jesus is the Sun of Charity,’ Brother Alziro Zarur (1914–1979) used to say.]

“29) There is nothing greater than being supported by the Charity of the Sun of Jesus.

“30) Hail, Jesus!”

Sermon on the End of Times

Let us now turn to the reading and analysis—in Spirit and in Truth, under the light of the New Commandment of the Ecumenical Christ, the Divine Statesman—of the “Sermon on the End of the World,” also known as the “Eschatological Discourse.” However, we prefer to call it the “Sermon on the End of Times,” for the planet will not come to an end. What shall be extinguished is the evil that causes our beloved orb to bleed:

“The Prophetic Sermon.

“The Beginning of Sorrows
(The Gospel of Jesus according to Matthew, chapter 24, in its entirety.)

“1 As Jesus was leaving the temple, His disciples came up to Him to point out its buildings.
“2 But He answered them, ‘Do you not see all these things? Truly I tell you, not one stone will be left upon another; every one will be thrown down.’
“3 As He was sitting on the Mount of Olives, His Disciples came to Him privately, saying, ‘Tell us, Lord, when will these things happen, and what will be the sign of Your coming and of the end of the world?’
“4 Jesus answered them, ‘Watch out that no one deceives you.
“5 ‘For many will come in My name, claiming, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will deceive many.
“6 ‘You will hear of wars and rumors of wars. See that you are not alarmed, for these things must take place, but the end is still to come.
“7 ‘Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines, and plagues, and earthquakes in various places.
“8  ‘All these are but the beginning of sorrows.’”

The Lisbon Earthquake

William Herbert Hobbs

We know that many earthquakes have occurred—and will continue to occur—across the globe. However, I would like to call attention to one in particular: the Lisbon earthquake, as it is known, although its consequences extended far beyond Portuguese soil. The American geologist Professor William Herbert Hobbs (1864–1953) once stated: “Among the earth movements which in historic times have affected the kingdom of Portugal, that of Nov. 1, 1755, takes first rank; as it does also, in some respects, among all recorded earthquakes. The first shocks of this earthquake came without other warning than a deep sound of rumbling thunder, which appeared to proceed from beneath the ground, and it was immediately followed by a quaking which threw down almost the entire city. In six minutes sixty thousand persons perished.”

Arquivo BV

James Parton

Indeed, it was a quake of monumental proportions and tremendous impact, as people around the world were deeply touched by that tragic event. The English writer James Parton (1822–1891) noted: “The Lisbon earthquake of Nov. 1, 1755, appears to have put both the theologians and philosophers on the defensive. . . . At twenty minutes to ten that morning, Lisbon was firm and magnificent, on one of the most picturesque and commanding sites in the world, a city of superb approach, placed precisely where every circumstance had concurred to say to the founders, Build here! In six minutes the city was in ruins. . . . Half the world felt the convulsion. . . . For many weeks, as we see in the letters and memoirs of that time, people in distant parts of Europe went to bed in alarm, relieved in the morning to find that they had escaped the fate of Lisbon one night more.”

Voltaire

The Lisbon earthquake led many to think about the Great Day of God’s Wrath (Apocalypse 15:1). We are told that the renowned French philosopher Voltaire (1694–1778) was deeply moved. He even wrote: “One may not think of oneself amidst such widespread desolation. . . . It was the Last Judgment for that region, lacking only the trumpet.”

That is to say—the apocalyptic trumpet. It is worth pondering.

A Tragedy Built Brick by Brick

When such prophesied events unfold, many people—before and during these moments—will find themselves in a position similar to the skeptic Voltaire. We will be called to reflect. We still live in an age of pronounced rationalism and disbelief. Yet, human thought will turn back to God, finally recognizing both the limits of humanity and the instability of this world that so many cling to. But that very “attachment” does not stop people from polluting everything, deforesting, poisoning rivers and seas, and so on. It is humankind itself that builds its own tragedy, brick by brick. Not God, dear friends! Let us not blame the Creator for our brutal actions, nor claim that He is cursing His children with the Apocalypse, nor accuse Jesus through His famed Sermon on the End of Times. Each one reaps what they sow. For every action there is a reaction. There is no effect without a cause. Armageddon, the ultimate and total war, and the Great Tribulation are nothing more than consequences—outbursts of human emotion, the lava of hatred that erupts from within us. Each person sculpts their own destiny. It is not God who curses the Earth with the Apocalypse—we are the ones doing that through our misdeeds. The reward for inhumanity is more inhumanity. Note how the Apocalypse, Armageddon, and the Great Tribulation are summed up in just a few words from a mentor of the Realms of Divine Light: “Sowing is free, but reaping is mandatory.”

Each of us harvests what we cultivate.

Professor Suffering Takes the World Stage

The Lisbon earthquake of 1755, I repeat, made many people reflect. But human beings tend to forget facts quickly. They are constantly drawn to the allure of immediate pleasures. For millennia, Jesus has been trying—through Fraternal Love—to guide people toward the path of true happiness. And yet, most still reject it. When this Heavenly Roadmap is ignored, Professor Suffering takes the world stage. He appears in the form of Master Pain, tasked with performing a much-needed surgery on the planet—to cut away what is rotten, gangrenous. He comes to carry out the work of purification, disinfecting the planetary body, which is in agony, ravaged by infection.

My friends, this is no minor thing! We are not merely bags of flesh, muscle, bone, and blood. We have an Eternal Spirit that precedes this material body, and it must be cared for, nourished by Fraternal Love, and immersed in the spirit of Complete Charity—so that it does not become cold as metal, numb to the suffering of the masses.

And so, we continue with the warning from humanity’s Divine Friend, in His Sermon on the End of Times:

9 Then they will hand you over to be persecuted and killed, and you will be hated by all nations because of my name.
10 At that time, many will fall away and betray and hate one another.
11 And many false prophets will arise and deceive many.”

Now, pay attention!

12 Because lawlessness will multiply, the Love of many will grow cold.”

And here lies the key:

13 But the one who endures to the end will be saved.

14 And this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world as a testimony to all nations. And then the end will come.”

No One Will Be Able to Destroy the Earth

Whose Gospel of the Kingdom is this? Jesus’!
And for what purpose? He Himself says: “as a testimony to all nations.”

He did not command that it be preached only in Israel. He instructed that it begin there, but that His Word be extended to the entire world—as a testimony to all peoples.

“And this Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached in all the world.”

That is where the importance of the Internet comes in during these modern times: “And then the end will come.”

The end of what? The planet? Well, considering how human beings have been behaving, there is reason to worry. However, all of this had already been foretold in the Apocalypse. There we read that, after so many horrific and dreadful events—sown by us—something new will arise in the world, just as promised in the Final Book of Prophecies, 21:1: “Then I saw a New Heaven and a New Earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more.”

In other words: The planet will not be destroyed. Thankfully, we will not succeed in annihilating our only home. However, “few people are left,” as foreseen by the remarkable Prophet Isaiah (24:6). Let us therefore prepare ourselves for a profound transformation.

Let us resume the study of the Gospel of Christ according to Matthew 24.

“The Sermon continues.
“The Great Tribulation

“15 So when you see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by the Prophet Daniel, standing in the holy place (qui legit intelligat — let the reader understand),
“16 then let those who are in Judea flee to the mountains.”

The Abomination of Desolation in the Holy Place

The Times have arrived! The signs are clear to all those who wish to see them. For quite some time, we have been reflecting on the prophecy of the abomination of desolation in the holy place. In His Prophetic Sermon, Jesus draws upon the prophecy of Daniel (11:31 and 12:11), in the Old Testament, to announce the final events of this apocalyptic cycle.

In my study of verses 15 and 16 of the Gospel according to Matthew 24, published in Somos todos Profetas [We Are All Prophets] (1999), I ask: What holier place could there be in the world than the inner sanctuary of God’s children—their hearts, their minds, their Souls?

Let us continue our analysis:

“17 Let no one on the housetop go down to retrieve anything from the house.

“18 Let no one in the field go back to get their cloak.

“19 How dreadful it will be in those days for pregnant women and nursing mothers!

“20 Pray that your flight will not take place in winter or on the Sabbath.”

Indeed, for in winter, conditions are harsher. And on the Sabbath—consecrated to the Lord by the Jewish people as their Holy Day—certain actions must be refrained from.

“21 For at that time there will be great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, and never will again.

“22 And if those days had not been shortened by the Lord, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened.

“23 At that time if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There He is!’ do not believe it.

“24 For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect.”

We Shall Be Weighed, Measured, and Judged

Naturally, verse 22 refers to those who have made themselves elect through their own righteous conduct. Didn’t Jesus Himself affirm: “Each will be rewarded according to their deeds” (Gospel according to Matthew 16:27)? Otherwise, one might wrongly believe that there are favorites—when in truth, the Divine Court measures and applies the laws of Love based on what we have actually done. It is by our upright actions—before God, Divine Justice, and the standards of what is right in community and society, in both private and public life—that we prove ourselves worthy. The flip side of this coin is the applause for the madness now spreading across the Earth.

Just like in school, where one cannot pass the year without studying, life operates by the same rule. Those who seek recognition without merit—whose hands are empty of good works—are fooling themselves. In everyday life, this approach never ends well, even if one has thousands of supporters or sponsors . . . Sooner or later, life will require each person to prove their ability and knowledge. And what will become of those who did not make the effort to learn and walk on their own two feet? They will be swallowed by the void left behind in their journey.

This is it, my Brothers and Sisters: deeds! Work that honors our path in this world—for it is by our deeds, good or evil, that we shall be weighed, measured, and judged.

ADDENDUM

Nourishing the Soul of Those Who Persevere in Goodness with Hope

On February 8, 2003, in the state of Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, Brother Flexa Dourada reminded us that Armageddon—as mentioned in Jesus’ Apocalypse (16:16), in the account of the Sixth Plague that so many people fear—is actually a very small tragedy compared to the Great Tribulation, announced by Jesus in His Gospel according to Matthew 24:21 and 22: "For at that time there will be great tribulation, such as has not occurred since the beginning of the world until now, and never will again. And if those days had not been shortened by the Lord, no one would survive. But for the sake of the elect, those days will be shortened."

It is worth emphasizing that Jesus, amid the most tormenting moment in human history, nourishes the Soul of those who persevere in Goodness with Hope. And we see the fulfillment of His promise in the Apocalypse 7:14–15, when those dressed in white robes before the Lamb of God are identified:

“14 These are the ones who come out of the great tribulation; they have washed their robes and made them white in the blood of Christ Jesus.
“15 Therefore they are before the throne of God and serve Him day and night in His temple; and He who sits on the throne will spread His tabernacle over them and will dwell among them."

In that same spiritual message, our friend Flexa Dourada—always in harmony with the preaching of the Religion of God, of the Christ, and of the Holy Spirit—sought to illustrate what the catastrophe of the Great Tribulation would be like by referring to the Prophet Isaiah 24:20: "The earth reels like a drunkard and sways like a hammock; its transgression weighs heavily upon it; it will fall and never rise again."

He also warned that such an astronomical event may occur due to the use of war weapons, causing a shift in the Earth’s axis, which would destabilize its gravity.

As I have continuously shown you, all of this is recorded in the Holy Bible. Look, for example, at what the prophet Zechariah states in his book, chapter 13, verses 8 and 9, in the Old Testament:

Afresco: Michelangelo (1475-1564)

Artwork detail: Prophet Zechariah

“8 ‘In the whole land,’ declares the Lord, ‘two-thirds will be struck down and perish; yet one-third will be left in it.
“9This third I will put into the fire; I will refine them like silver and test them like gold. They will call on my name, and I will answer them. I will say, ‘They are my people,’ and they will say, ‘The Lord is our God.’”

Our mission, therefore, is not to frighten anyone, but to prepare creatures to survive this state of affairs, which humanity itself has built over millennia.

Miracles Do Exist, But Before God’s Law, They Are Not “Miracles”

Referring to verse 24 in this analysis of the Gospel of Christ according to Matthew, chapter 24—“For false messiahs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect”—we know that there are human beings through whom the gift of God allows what we commonly call miracles to be performed. They are emissaries of Divine Goodness in this world of suffering. Therefore, the responsibility of those with well-developed spiritual gifts is enormous. If they misuse the trust God has placed in them by harming or deceiving others, they will be held fully accountable under the very same Divine Law that granted them those (mediumistic) abilities.

In my upcoming book Tesouros da Alma [Treasures of the Soul], I transcribe a statement I made in the early 1980s, in response to a young reporter’s question. I told him that miracles do exist, but before the Law of God, they are not miracles . . .

One day, the Heavenly Mechanism that governs them will be unveiled by human science. And when that extraordinary day comes, our understanding of it will be all the more moving. Then miracles will multiply, because we will finally understand the Sublime Law behind them.

Let us return to chapter 24 of the Gospel according to Matthew:

25 See, I have told you beforehand.
“26 So if they say to you, ‘Look, He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out; or, ‘Look, He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it.
“27 For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of God.
“28 Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will gather.”*3
[Meaning: This event is inevitable.]

“The Sermon continues.

“The Coming of the Son of God

“29 Immediately after the great tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, the moon will no longer shine, the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
“30 Then the sign of the Son of God will appear in the sky, and all the peoples of the Earth will mourn. They will see the Son of God coming on the clouds of heaven with Power and Great Glory.
“31 And He will send His Angels with a loud trumpet call, and they will gather His elect from the four winds, from one end of the Earth to the other end of the Heavens.
“32 Now learn this lesson from the fig tree: As soon as its branches become tender and sprout leaves, you know that summer is near.
“33 So also, when you see all these things, know that the coming of the Son of God for the Final Judgment is near, right at the door.
“34 Truly I tell you, this generation will not pass away until all these things have happened.
“35 Heaven and Earth will pass away, but my words will never pass away!”

“The Sermon continues.

Exhortation to Watchfulness

“36 But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the Angels of Heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father.
“37 As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of God.
“38 For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and being given in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark;
“39 And they did not understand until the flood came and swept them all away. So it will be at the coming of the Son of God.
“40 Two men will be in the field; one will be taken and the other left.
“41 Two women will be grinding at the mill; one will be taken and the other left.
“42 Therefore keep watch, because you do not know on what day your Lord will come.
“43 But understand this: If the homeowner had known at what time of night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and not let his house be broken into.
“44  Therefore keep watch because you do not know when the Lord will return—whether in the evening, or at midnight, or when the rooster crows, or at dawn—so that He does not come suddenly and find you asleep.

“The Sermon continues.

“The Parable of the Two Servants

“45 Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of his household to give them their food at the proper time?
“46 Blessed is that servant whom the master finds doing so when he returns.
“47 Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.
“48 But suppose that wicked servant says in his heart, ‘My master is taking a long time,’
49 and he begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards.
50 The master of that servant will come on a day he does not expect and at an hour he does not know,
51 and he will punish him and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

The End of the Civilization of Plunder and Hatred

The passage from the Gospel of Jesus according to Matthew 24 is crystal clear to those who “have eyes to see and ears to hear.” It has everything to do with the times we are living in.

The intention here is not to frighten anyone. We are simply deepening our study of Jesus’ Prophetic Sermon so that we are not caught off guard. What has brought the Earth to this critical point is the sowing we, humanity, have done.

Because of the obstinacy of human beings in rejecting—through their actions—the call of Divine Love, of Supreme Fraternity, Professor Suffering is summoned to the stage. Where Love cannot take root, pain arrives and takes action. And at times, it works with overwhelming force, driven by the urgency of a body in delirium, burning with fever, infected and in desperate need of surgery.

This, my friends, is the sowing! But in contrast, over millennia, many have sown Love, Truth, and Justice, and have worked for the harmony of both spiritual and human beings. These too will receive their reward—their sublime inheritance—at the end of this cycle, which will mark the fall of the civilization built on plunder and hatred.

As I wrote in my book Jesus, o Profeta Divino [Jesus, the Divine Prophet] (2011), in light of all that has been foretold, let us do our part with dedication, trust in God, and keep peace within our Souls, for the Divine Prophet is at the helm. After all, Jesus will gloriously return—and He will return to something that will still exist: planet Earth.

To close this study, I leave for everyone’s reflection—also at the noble suggestion of Dr. Bezerra de Menezes—the Seals of the Apocalypse, which is the entire sixth chapter of the Book of Revelation, and which we have often reflected on throughout the years.

“The Lamb of God Opens the Seals
(Apocalypse of Jesus, chapter 6)

“The First Seal
“1 I saw when the Lamb of God opened one of the Seven Seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures say, in a voice like thunder: ‘Come and see!’
“2 I looked, and behold, a white horse. Its rider held a bow, and a crown was given to Him; and He went out conquering and to conquer.

“The Second Seal
“3 When the Lamb of God opened the Second Seal, I heard the second living creature say: ‘Come and see!’
“4 Another horse came out, fiery red. Its rider was given power to take peace from the Earth and to make people kill one another. And he was given a great sword.

“The Third Seal
“5 When the Lamb of God opened the Third Seal, I heard the third living creature say: ‘Come and see!’ I looked, and there before me was a black horse. Its rider was holding a pair of scales in his hand.
“6 And I heard a voice among the four living creatures, saying: ‘A measure of wheat for a denarius, and three measures of barley for a denarius; and do not damage the oil and the wine.’

“The Fourth Seal
“7 When the Lamb of God opened the Fourth Seal, I heard the voice of the fourth living creature say: ‘Come and see!’
“8 I looked, and there before me was a pale horse. Its rider was named Death, and Hades was following close behind him. They were given authority over a fourth of the Earth to kill by sword, famine, plague, and by the wild beasts of the Earth.

“The Fifth Seal
“9 When the Lamb of God opened the Fifth Seal, I saw under the altar the souls of those who had been slain for the Word of God and for the testimony they had upheld.
“10 They cried out with a loud voice: ‘How long, O Sovereign Lord, Holy and True, until You judge and avenge our blood on those who dwell on the Earth?’
“11 Then each of them was given a white robe, and they were told to rest a little longer, until the full number of their fellow servants, and brothers, and sisters who were to be killed as they had been was completed.

“The Sixth Seal
“12 I watched as the Lamb of God opened the Sixth Seal. There was a great earthquake. The sun turned black like sackcloth made of goat hair, the whole moon turned blood red,
“13 and the stars in the sky fell to Earth, as figs drop from a fig tree when shaken by a strong wind.
“14 The heavens receded like a scroll being rolled up, and every mountain and island was removed from its place.
15 Then the kings of the Earth, the princes, the generals, the rich, the mighty, and everyone else—both slave and free—hid in caves and among the rocks of the mountains.
“16 They called to the mountains and the rocks: ‘Fall on us and hide us from the face of Him who sits on the throne and from the wrath of the Lamb of God.’
“17 ‘For the great Day of their wrath has come, and who shall be able to stand?’”

Thank you all sincerely for your attention.

Whoever trusts in Jesus does not waste time, because He is the Great Friend who never abandons a friend along the way.
The closer we are to Jesus, the farther we are from problems!
Serving Jesus is not a sacrifice. It is a privilege!
May the Peace of God be with us now and always.
God Is Present!
Jesus lives in our hearts forever!
Amen!
