Manifest of Good Will (I)

I received a letter from the reader Edson Rodrigues de Freitas, who lives in Rio de Janeiro city, asking me to have the Manifest of Good Will published, which words I addressed, during the launching of the Fundamental Stone of the World Parliament of Ecumenical Fraternity, on October 21, 1991, in Brasília, Capital of Brazil. The Manifest comprises many concepts we have introduced for the last decades, however these concepts have been considered updated and necessary more and more nowadays, at the same time as the world has been living the globalization and, for quite so, it needs even more Education and Culture, Nourishment, Health and Work with Spirituality. Let us go then to the Manifest:

World Parliament of Ecumenical Fraternity

The Legion of Good Will launches, today, the Fundamental Stone of the World Parliament of Ecumenical Fraternity — the ParlaMundi — with the consciousness that it will be in charge of participating, decisively, in the most significant changing process the Human Being have ever lived. The Times of the great transformations have come! Let us know how to cross them appropriately.

First of all it is necessary to demonstrate, clearly, the mission of this Ecumenical Parliament that will count on the effective participation of the most different institutions representatives from Brazil and abroad and, mainly, on the participation of the People who are the elite of a country.

The World Parliament of Ecumenical Fraternity will keep its doors open to all Beings of Good Will. It proposes the universal conciliation of all human and Spiritual knowledge, in a powerful force at the service of the Peoples.

Discord, radicalisms, hostilities of all kinds must be kept away from the religious, philosophical, political scientific, economic, artistic and sportive debates and proposals, and whatever other, for Man is born on Earth to live in society, Solidary Society.

The World Parliament of Ecumenical Fraternity’s proposition also aims at conciliating the knowledge that is in vigor in the physical world with the infinitely wide wisdom, situated at the Eternal Spirit dimension: to unite the Human Being to the civilizations that exist in the Spiritual World, still invisible to our poor and most restricted five material senses.

Conciliation by the Spirit

Conciliating is, therefore, our great calling, since we are based on the wide Ecumenical experience of the Legion of Good Will (LGW): Brazil and the world need an immediate living of the religious, racial, partisan, business and social Unrestricted Ecumenism, based on the deepest values of the Spirit.

Great is the nation and wise is the ruler that reconciles the values of its components of every race, belief, political conviction... They are the builders of the true progress.

The Legion of Good Will has assumed grave social commitments, since its emeritus and greatly missed creator, Alziro Zarur (1914-1979), who under divine inspiration spread on Earth and in the Brazilian soul the roots of this Institution. The LGW wishes a society, where all the Human Beings and whose social merits, however very admirable and recognized they were, do not become causes to the prejudice of the other Brazilian citizens’ rights and liberties — a society in which only God and His Laws of Love and Justice can impose limits to the individual freedom, in order to ensure freedom to all.

I speak about the Supreme Creator, not about those that wish to make Him, who is Love, an execrable tool of fanaticism, prejudice and hatred. Thus, the real virtuousness will be the one constructed by the Creature herself, in the honest occupation of her days, in the administration of her goods, in the respect of others, in the beautiful and instigating adventure of life. A nation made by people like these ones will always be great and inviolable.

The guilt is of the good ones

It is the moment of the Union of everybody who believes in the regeneration of the social tissue, with the Spirit of Man as a principle. And what do we see in our frontiers but the establishment of the injustice? Whose is the guilt? Is it of the street rioters? Is it because of the corrupt, the greedy, the explorer or the rebellious people? No! No and no! The guilt is of those who consider themselves good, honest, capable, but in fact they feel peaceful and satisfied only claiming the human rights concerning themselves, forgetting to fulfill more audaciously and promptly their social, moral and Spiritual duties. When the territory is not defended by the good, the bad ones make “just” the victory of the injustice.
