Where is the floor?

Afterwards we present some passages chosen from one of the chapters of the book “O Capital de Deus” [Capital of God], by Paiva Netto.

In this article — inspired in his improvised speeches on the radio and TV in 1991 — the author made a historic-spiritual observation about the whirlwind of speedy transformations the world has been living, with the fall of paradigms, procedures and even of deep-rooted social, religious, artistic, economic, administrative concepts, among others.

So the question: “Where is the Floor?!” For the writer, it is revealed, at this moment, the divine opportunity of taking care of that one who is the generator of the whole progress: the Human Being and his eternal Spirit that Paiva Netto, who is also a journalist, calls “Capital of God”

Lord Keynes

We are facing a planetary reality shaped by multiple interests that not always have as objective the People’s welfare. The Right, Sovereign Market, Left, Centralizing State; Center Politics, center of what? However (...), a remarkable fact occurs: ancient parameters have been used for almost nothing anymore; new paradigms, nobody knows well which they are yet. Why?!

Lord Keynes*1 has a good answer:

—“The difficulty lies not in the new ideas, but in escaping of the old ones.”

(...) In fact, we have been watching the announcement of a potential conflict, considering that poor crowds become poorer and poorer and the violence has spread on Earth as never seen before. Besides existing isolated patterns, true islands of excellence, where there is progress, promoted by the globalization, what has been proved is the growth of misery even in the most developed countries. Facing the abundance of few people, the Capital of God, the Human Being and his eternal Spirit, has never been so ignored.
We have been living, for instance, the empire of waste, which is the confirmation of the preponderant selfishness’ intensity. However, the spirit of Solidarity prevails, through strength of the heart or the uncontrollable survival instinct (...).

It is evident I am not implacable adversary of the globalization, but I am definitely unfavorable of its manipulations, when they affront the peoples in development. It is not wise to be in opposition to the march of History, but it is necessary for us to make use, with advantage, of its course. Since the world exists, we have passed over several kinds of universalization (...).
The current moment is described, somehow, in the chapter 16, verses 17 to 21 of the Apocalypse of Jesus, according to John:

The Seventh Plague

17 Then poured out the seventh Angel his vial into the air, and came powerful voice out of the Temple, beside the throne, saying; It is done!

18 Soon came upon lightnings, voices and thunders, and there was a noisy earthquake, such as was not since there were people upon the world; so was the earthquake mighty and great.

19 And the great city was divided into three parts, and fell the cities of the nations. And remembered God the great Babylon to give to her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.

20 And every island fled away and the mountains were not found;

21 also fell down from heaven upon men a great hail, stones that weigh about a talent (nearly 34 kilos). And, because of the plague of the hail, men blasphemed God, for their torment was extremely great.

Babylon and Montesquieu*2

Montesquieu

There are some people that stay waiting the buildings crumble during a frightful cataclysmic, as it has unfortunately happened so many times on Earth. However, it is not only this. It is, first of all, the moral decadence, the disrespect for the human creature, the lack of ethics that make everything fall into ruins, devastating or changing intensively what would be unthinkable before.
The verse, emphasized above, is related, so to speak, to the three powers that were prefigured by Montesquieu, in his book The Spirit of Laws — Executive, Legislative and Judiciary*3, which will not stay apart of the frightful transformations announced by Jesus in the Apocalypse. (Notice the expression that some companies have been getting on Earth, more and more powerful, with or without the mega fusions. There are cartels whose budget exceeds the (gdp) gross domestic product — or gross national product — of entire countries, on its own or collectively.
The big city would be the whole world. And its power means what exists in terms of the most materially advanced in the executive, legislative and judiciary commands, interacting with the Economics, Science, Religion, Art, Education, Health, Security, Sports and other branches of the dignified human knowledge.

Some little questions for you

1) Will the three powers, established by the author of Persian Letters, maintain themselves, without deep mutations, at the era as this one that is approaching? They are only human powers.
2) And, when the great city breaks, all that, which means command, does it also break?

Alziro Zarur

As Alziro Zarur (1914-1979) stated at the first years of 1960’s decade:

— “The power will become fluid in Men’s hands.”

Let us compare the affirmation of the Atomic Era Poems’ prophet with the Book of the Final Prophecies’ warning in its chapter 16, verse 20:

— Every island fled away, and the mountains were not found (...).

Before the cataclysm of such magnitude, under this impact, the rulers of the peoples and their subordinate will be able to inquire this way:

— Where is the floor?!

That is, where will the convictions, the irrefutable doctrines be found?

3) How will the “kings of the Earth”, cited in the Revelation Book (“The Sixth Seal”, 6:15, and “The laments of the Babylon’s admirers”, 18:9) subsist?

(It is convenient to remember that king has a wider meaning today. “Royalty” exists for everything, since the king of the marbles game until the magnate of petroleum.)

Other little questions

1) Where is the old and vast space to firm the feet?

2) On the old structural continents?

3) How, whether even the last island fled away, symbolizing that the small territory, which was left over, had also been pulled away from them?

4) Will it mean that there is not definitive sustentation anymore, whether religious, philosophical, ideological, political, social economic, artistic and so on?

5) Would all this stay with more and more restricted area for their doctrines and activities’ basis, since every island fled away, and the mountains were not found?

Gorbachev

6) If there was not basis, the human constructions, in all aspects, less the physical and much more the lay or the religious ones, however stupendous they are, couldn’t they stand up anymore?
It is from the thought that all the things result.
Not even the “sovereign market” will continue ”, one day, so sovereign like this, because the “Babylon’s fall” is also the ruin of everything that, for millennia, has been serving for creatures’ hypnosis and oppression?

It is appropriate, here, this reflexion by Mikhail Gorbachev*4 :

“The market is not an invention of capitalism. It has existed for centuries.”

The warning from Jesus

Jesus had already warned: (...) without me you can do nothing (Gospel, according to John, 15:5). So the alertness had been given since the Gospel of the Christ and also the Apocalypse.

As a matter of fact, concerning the prophecies, they can be widely found in several sacred books of the other respectable beliefs, as well as in many religious, believers or atheists’ thoughts. They also do their predictions. The ones who wanted, they have heard them...

Winston Churchill

P.S.: In reference to kinds of government, I agree with that, with good mood, Winston Spencer Churchill*5 used to say:

— Democracy is the worst regime, except all the other ones.
